He was Carlene's 3rd. cousin once removed and was born in Trewellard, Pendeen on 30th March 1903.
He was a merchant seaman and on 3rd June 1923 was the 3rd. officer on board the S.S. Trevessa when the ship was sank off the coast of Australia. Eleven lives were lost at sea and after nearly 3 weeks the remaining crew arrived at Mauritius.
A book describing the events was written by the ships Captain, Cecil Foster, relating the events.
