Mr WJ Lane 82 years old start of his journey from Land's End to John O' Groats challenging newspaper report that claimed over 70s were too old to hold a Licence. He hoped to make the journey in 5 days (letter from Richards to Fox Photos)

Crowd at the annual Fair which took place at the time of Paul Feast which is in October. Bridge and waterwheel in the background. The main attraction here is "Day's Exhibition of Curiosities".
