Description
Built at Cammell Laird at Birkenhead in 1939. It was the largest liner to be built in England at 739 feet long and 1.170 passengers. Trooping between N Atlantic and Australia she encircled the world in 81 1/2 days, faster than any other ship. Biggest ship to pass through he Suez Canal. Scrapped in 1965.
