Mary Walls and her daughter Lillian Evelyn Stevens

Mary's first husband, William Grenfell, went to Colorado, USA to mine for gold. She went to look for him as she hadn't't heard from him for a while. She took her three children. Alas, by the time she got there he was dead and buried. Two daughters died on the journey.
She later married Andrew Stevens (who was from St Just) whilst there, and the family returned home to Carnyorth in 1892.
