Emma Grant Browne and Eliza "Lizzie" Mary Browne were Caldwell's 1st cousins once removed.
They were the daughters of Hablot Knight Nonus "Phiz" Browne, (the illustrator of Charles Dickens fiction) and Susannah Reynolds.
Emma was born in Thornton Heath, Croydon, Surrey on 30 August 1849.
She never married and died in 1929.
Eliza was also born in Thornton Heath, in 1850.
She married Captain James Ingram of the Merchant Marines when she was about 49. He died a few years later .
Emma and Eliza followed their fathers artistic footsteps. Emma specialised in painting on China and Eliza wrote poems and stories.
