Robert Haldane Patterson (also see CHA 018) was born in Edinburgh, Scotland on 10 March 1804, to Walter Paterson and Ann Maria Rowbotham. He became a surgeon and practised in Brigg, Lincolnshire, where he married Marie Sussana Nicholson.
She was born in Brigg, in 1815, the daughter of John and Sussana Nicholson
They had 8 children.
He died on 22 March 1872 aged 67, she died two years later, 22 April 1874, aged 59.
