Renown on her way to scrapyard August 4 .1948. Note Gull on a rock

After leaving Falmouth she struck the Runnel Stone and sustained serious damage. Towed to Porthcurno but soon broke up. All crew were rescued by the tug Elliot and Jeffery

She came ashore in thick Fog. Passengers had to be rowed ashore. She was later sunk by a mine in Falmouth Bay 1939. More info on index card.
