Porthleven

A view from Porthleven looking out towards Mounts Bay. There are two sail fishing boats at anchor. One fisherman is climbing aboard the rearmost boat which has a punt attached to the stern. Another punt can be seen in the foreground. These small boats would be used to ferry the fishermen to dry land. Modern day image has the L:ifeboat station very close to the small white property below the harbour road. To the right of tyhe terraced cottages now stand 3 modern houses together with the Ship Inn at the harbour entrance. On the harbour road can be seen a small child wearing a white apron, a man looking out to sea and two men walking down pushing a wheelbarrow.
