General William Booth, founder of the Salvation Army, arriving at Penzance station (centre). He had a great affinity for West Cornwall and visited Penzance several times between his laying of the Citadel's foundation stone and his death in 1912.

Son of John Hettt and Louisa Nicholson, born in Brigg, Lincolnshire in 1844. He became a Doctor of Medicine and married Mary Jane Scott in London in 1844. They had 4 children. He died in 1905.
