Description
Report in 'The Cornishman' from 14/11/1992 in the '25 Years Ago' section, quoting a story from the newspaper from 1964:
"A five-minute rescue has earned Henry Nicholas coxswain of the Sennen Lifeboat, the bronze clasp of the Royal National Lifeboat Institute, which will be presented to him in March. This award to the quiet-spoken 62-year-old Cornishman is being made for the courage and determination he showed when five Belgian fishermen were snatched to safety from their wrecked boat at Land's End earlier the year. Mr Nicholas was awarded the bronze medal in 1919 - at the age of 17 - and was one of the youngest ever to receive it."
