Cliff Sea Lighthouse Boat
Description
A ketch typical of numerous such coastal traders seen in most English ports until ousted by the more economical diesel powered vessels in the 1930s. They carried general cargoes; coal, manures, cattle foods, chemical, etc, and regularly called on what was then termed a 'milk round' schedule. This ship is pictured rounding Land's End inside the Longships lighthouse on the deep passage well known to local fishermen and regular coasters.
