Description
Villagers dressed in their best clothes gathered to march with the band to Leedstown and back, then to assemble in the Chown's meadow at Buckshead. The band played as 'treat buns' (large saffron buns) were given to all the children. The adults would be seated and ate sultana and saffron cake. The ice cream man would also be present.
