Description
The Bedford Bolitho Garden were opened in 1916 on the site of the old serpentine works and as a a memorial to Thomas Bedford Bolitho, a local banking figure. They were destroyed by the Ash Wednesday storm of March 1962 which led to the demolition of the majority of old buildings in the Wherrytown area.
