Clifftop view of Derek and Jeannie Tangye's Nature Reserve

Derek and Jeannie bought the 18 acres to preserve it in perpetuity for natural flora, fauna and wildlife that abider there. It was intended for the public to use as a 'Place for Solitude, for quiet contemplation, to feel at one with nature, to admire its beauty and timelessness. It also was known as Oliver Land and was listed with Natural England until 2020.
