Studio portrait of William James Rogers, (1889-1954). On the right is an unknown man with a bulldog.
His father John Charles Rogers opened a Provisions Merchants and butchers shop at 43 Causewayhead, Penzance in the late 19th century. A second shop was opened at 37 Market Jew Street soon after. William, known as Jim, and his son John, continued the business until it closed in 1970.
