Description

Window display of Cee Roy Margarine in Rogers, butchers shop, 37 Market Jew Street, Penzance. A boy is standing to the left of the door and produce, including the margarine, plus joints of meat and sausages, are displayed in the window. John Charles Rogers opened a Provisions Merchants and butchers shop in Causewayhead, Penzance in the late 19th century. A second shop was opened in Market Jew Street soon after. His son William James, and grandson John, continued the business until it closed in 1970.
Cee Roy Margarine was based in Hayle.
