Group of RNAS Servicemen. Image includes William James (Jim) Rogers who served in 1917-1918. The postcard was sent on 15 September 1917 from William to his brother Charles. The postcard was sent from Norwood, near Crystal Palace where RNAS was stationed. Charles was stationed at Devonport.
Postcard reads "This is the photograph of our class Charlie, I suppose you can find me, I am on the football ground now waiting to see the Scots Guards play the R.N.A.S. some first league players in our team, Jim"
The Rogers family had 2 butchers shops in Penzance from late 19th century to 1970. Jim ran the shop in Market Jew Street, Penzance after WW1.
