Photograph of Beachfield House, at the bottom of Alexandra Road, This was run as Dingley's Private Hotel by Mrs. Eliza Dingley, and later by Miss Mary Dingley . It later became the Beachfield Hotel and Dingley's moved around the corner.
Note the gas lamp and drinking fountain in the foreground. The base stone of this is now situated at the entrance of the rugby ground in Alexandra Road,
