Description

Taken outside Towednack vicarage where he ministered from 1932-1935.
He was born 8 Nov. 1884 at St. Columb, the son of Richard William Jolly, a tin miner, and Ethelberta Menear.
In 1901 he was a trimmer in the clay works. By 1911 we see him practising as a Weslyan minister. In 1915 he obtained a ministerial appointment in Camelford.
In the 1920's he went to live in Canada and was ordained in Montral in 1923.
Two years later he came back to Cornwall where he held various curacies.. His last being at St Enoder.
He retired to Carbis Bay where he died on 24 May 1963 and was burried at Towednack.
He also had an interest in Cornish wrestling and wrote books on the subject.
