Description
PZ 87 Rosebud fishing vessel in Newlyn harbour. This fishing boat was at the centre of the attempt by Newlyn villagers to save their condemned properties in the 1930's. Built in 1919.
On 19th October 1937 the Rosebud left Newlyn for Westminster and delivered a petition to government.A number of homes were saved and also as a result of the 2nd World War and used for displaced French and Begian fishermen and their families. The surviving houses were modernised and survive up until this day.
