Description
The 800-ton Newcastle Collier, Renwick, was in ballast from Devonport to Burryport before she dragged ashore at Gyllyngvase during a south-westerly gale on February 26th 1903. By the morning, her stem had been torn off and the hull flooded. Captain Anderson of the Western Marine Salvage Company undertook to salvage her and within fifteen days had the Renwick safely in dry-dock.
