Description
An account of the resource
A photo of a Christmas card card featuring Joseph, Mary and the baby Jesus in the stable with the inscription, 'A Joyous Yuletide'. Folded cards as we know them now did not emerge until well into the present century. Cards like this were then in vogue. This card, purchased for 1/2d and posted in Truro at 5:30pm on Dec 24th 1907 and carrying a King Edward VII green halfpenny stamp, was delivered to Mrs Hoyte, GWR Office, Newquay, on the next day. The original card, in colour, is still in the writer's collection.
