The Old Pier (Medieval) and a Mount's Bay lugger aground in the harbour foreground, with many more anchored off shore in Gwavas Lake. Fish being landed in small punts to the waiting 'Jousters' with their wicket baskets and donkey carts. This is the time before the current Newlyn piers were built.
