Mr Bernard Broad of Pentewan, St Austell, at the wheel of his 1918 Garrett Showman's locomotive. With this engine and its accompanying Marenghi organ he raised large sums for Cornish charities.

The 1,415-tons wooden full-rigger Bencoolen, launched at St. Johns, New Brunswick in 1855. She was one of the large fleet of Bengal traders owned and managed by Edward Bates & Co of Liverpool.
