Mynomie R Kirby sank off Scilly 28th November 1933

adressed on reverse to: Miss H Loading, Station House Rudgeuile (?) Nr Holsworthy

Nancledra water wheel and stamps. Built by Sara's Foundries (Wadebridge, Cornwall) around 1860. One of few such sets, these have since been removed for preservation. They were last worked by Mr Berriman who owned the property in the early 1950s.

Built 1799 destroyed in Freak Flood 1894. The Great Zennor Flood which swept down valley. The mill was empty at the time, waiting for the new owner.

This dramatic photo also appears (in reverse) as a square lantern slide (WRECKS 32OF 270) missing the figure on the left. The detail is, however much better.
