From the old pier looking across Fore Street. On the left is the old slipway leading down to the beach below the Red Lion Inn. There is an old ships life boat, partly submerged, in view.

View across to the cliff at Newlyn Town. Small boats around at about half tide; most have motors fitted by now. Fishermen's House Pub at top, centre. Building to the far right incorporated fish tanks; now all area cleared to a grassy bank.

View of the undeveloped foreshore, Hayle. Cottages around the beach and boats drawn up on the gravel. The Rail Viaduct is in the background with wagons silhouetted.
