All these boats are in the old harbour. In the centre top is a large group of Mount's Bay sailing luggers, all taking advantage of the new larger harbour, built between 1885-1895. The new harbour road is visible (1908) and the new fish market can be seen together with the new harbour offices. It is about half tide. The tall building is the Ice Works, built on to the old Norway Ice Store, owned by the RR Bath Co. Distant view across to Street-an-Nowan and the Tolcarne rows of houses, Treneglos Terrace, Charles Street, etc. This is just before the advent of the motor vessels around 1920 approx.
