British artist who died in the First World War in 1915.His name is inscribed on the Newlyn War Memorial. His sister was Florence Carter Wood who married A.J. Munnings a famous painter, this was an unhappy marriage. Florence had a relationship with Gilbert Evans, land agent on the Boskenna estate who also joined the Army in 1914 and on 24th July 1914 Florence took her own life. Her grave may be found in Sancreed Church cemetery.
