She was the daughter of Samuel Thomas Turner and Florence Maud Dennis, the latter being the daughter of Charles Dennis and Mary Woodman who lived at The Bungalow, Perran Crossroads. (Now a Chinese restaurant.) Many of the family came down from Essex to visit Charles and Mary, and later settled here themselves. They took many photos of the countryside around the area.
