Fairs people camped on the Newlyn side bank near what is now the new road bridge (yet to come). Newlyn Fair was held at Paul Feast time around October. Tall building in the centre was Carter's shop and home with the pilot's lookout at the top; note, this was burnt down in 1895 and rebuilt thereafter.
