The Angove Collection consists of over 3000 photographic prints. Collected by Dick Angove (1917-1992), a prolific writer on all aspects of Cornish life, the collection covers industrial archaeology, farming, fishing, railways, and rural life. The Hong Kong/Guam section of SEACOM was laid during September and October of 1965. Assisted by Cable & Wireless, Ltd., repair ship Cable Enterprise Mercury completed the lay into Guam on 22 October 1965.
This photograph shows the final splice on board Mercury of the Hong Kong/Guam section of SEACOM. Pictured left to right are submarine cable technicians S. Matthews and A.E. Weekes.
