The removal of the Market Cross from outside the Market House, western end now the main entrance to Lloyds Bank showing the back of the cross and the Inscription which had previously been hidden from view.
It was thought to have been in this position from about 1870 .During the following Century it was moved to the Green Market then to the Morrab Gardens and is now in Penlee Park.
