A group of people standing around the fountain in St Anthony Gardens. This fountain had originally stood in the forecourt of St. John's Hall and was moved to the Gardens in 1933. The gardens were opened on 31st May 1933.
The pier, built down as far as the Custom House, proved to be too narrow and had to be widened in 1895. This view is looking back into the village. Tolcarne Hill is on the far right, near the pole.
Official opening of the then Cancer Research Campaign charity shop In Causewayhead, Penzance in 1993. The shop was opened by the fashion designer Jeff Banks, who is seen signing autographs.
Opening ceremony of the floating dock at Penzance harbour. Hundreds of people, wearing their best costume gather in crowds to see the spectacle. The paddle steamer is the Queen of the Bay. Penants and flags are on display as part of the celebrations.
