Alice and Edgar Browne
Edgar Athelstone Browne was the eldest son of Hablot Knight Nonus "Phiz" Browne and Susannah Reynolds, and born in London in 1841.

He studied medicine and became a General Practitioner in
Liverpool. In 1867 he married his first cousin Alice Dominica Browne. Like his father, he had artistic talents, particularly in watercolours.
He specialised in Ophthalmology, and became a pioneer in the field of cataract surgery.
Edgar and Alice had six children.
He died in 1917 aged 76.
